Vidiani Monastery, Lasinthos Eco Park, Krasi Village, Olive Mill Farm & Knossos Palace
This tour will give travelers the opportunity to explore some interesting places at the Plateau of Lasithi, the area where Zeus was born according to mythology. Situated at 850 meters above sea level, the plateau of Lasithi has the largest agricultural production in Crete. There are 18 villages nestled in the surrounding mountains of the plateau. The visitors can admire a panoramic drive through the plateau, the Monastery of Vidiani, Lasinthos Eco Park and the traditional village of Krasi. Afterwards, the visitors will experience a guided tour at an Olive Mill Farm to see the production of olive oil soap, olive oil etc. Next, there will be anunforgettable meal (at their own expense) with local products, unique aromas from the surrounding wild mountains as well as picturesque views of the Aegean Sea. Our day will end with a guided tour through the worldwide famous Archaeological Site of Knossos, the capital and major center of the Minoan civilization, as well as the oldest city in Europe.

Total Duration of the tour: 10- 12 hours (depending on the customers’ resort)
Morning Pick up:
We will start collecting participants from pick-up points in the morning. Depending onthe location of customers’ accommodation the bus drive will differ.
1st stop: Vidiani Monastery – 25 minutes
A small Greek Orthodox Monastery, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, located at the foot of Louloudaki Mountain.
Bus Drive: 15 minutes
2nd stop: Lasinthos Eco Park- 1 hour
An Eco Park, with ancient workshops such as pottery, candle making etc. and a small animal farm.
Bus Drive: 30 minutes
3rd stop: Village of Krasi – 25 minutes
This little traditional village with its beautiful freshwater springs, as well as the oldest, biggesttree in all of Crete will be our stop for about 25 minutes to enjoy our time in Cretan nature!
Bus Drive: 25 minutes
4th stop: Olive Mill Farm – 2 hours
Guided tour and lunch in a beautiful landscape of an Olive Grove and a very interesting Olive Oil Factory with a unique view to the mountains and the Aegean Sea.
Bus Drive: 60 minutes
5th stop: Knossos Palace – 1 hour
Leaving the beautiful region of Lasithi behind, our day will end at the Historical Site of Knossos.There will be a guided tour for approximately 1 hour as well as some free time to take photos of this unique archaeological scenery.
End of the tour – Return to resorts:
Embarkation on the buses and drive back to the hotels where we gathered participants in the morning.
Depending on traffic and on the pick-up places, the time of the journey back to the resorts willdiffer.
